Overview
The extraordinary richness and diversity of Penn's Psychiatry faculty make the mentoring and didactic experiences unparalleled. The didactic program, which incorporates the various aspects of modern psychiatry, focuses integrated sequences of seminars in the following areas across the four years:
- The Doctor-Patient Relationship and Psychosocial Therapies
- Neuroscience, Psychopharmacology, and Somatic Treatment
- Research and Critical Thinking
- Professional Development
- Clinical Case Conferences
This program is supplemented by a comprehensive schedule of Grand Rounds , individual supervision, journal club, and residents' luncheons. Each year-long course is developed and closely monitored by a dedicated faculty course coordinator.
