How to Register for a PUBH Course
We welcome all in the Penn community to take public health courses. Many PUBH courses are in high demand so the MPH Program employs a priority registration process which assures seats for MPH degree students and Public Health Certificate students during the preregistration period. We maintain a wait list on a "first come, first serve" basis for registration requests for our popular courses.
Penn Graduate Students enrolled in another Penn degree program may take PUBH-prefix courses by requesting a course permit from the MPH Program Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once permitted, course registration may be completed via Penn in Touch.
Upper Division Penn Undergraduate Students are welcome to explore Public Health courses with permission of the instructor. Please be advised, if you choose to apply to the MPH degree program upon completion of your baccalaureat degree, university policy prevents us from awarding earned credit on an undergraduate transcript to the MPH degree. To obtain permission, contact the course instructor who will determine if you are adequately prepared for the course. If permission is granted the next step is to forward documentation or correspondence of the instructor's permission via email to the MPH Program Coordinator Moriah Hall at email@example.com.
This request is considered an offical request for registration which must come directly from the student. You will be notified by email when your permit is issued and you may complete your course registration via Penn in Touch.
