Applications are now completed online through the SOPHAS system (available starting in September).
Financial aid
Limited scholarships are available for qualified students. Employees of
the university, as well as international students, are not eligible to
apply for financial assistance. Inquiries should be directed to the
Director of Education Rosemary Frasso, at rofrasso@mail.med.upenn.edu.
International Students
International applicants to the MPH Program must submit official copies of their TOEFL scores, if their first language is other than English. Additionally, international students must submit official copies of their ETS scores to the MPH Program as part of their
application if their degree was received from an institution outside the
U.S., regardless of the degree obtained. Unofficial copies - that is copies supplied by the applicant - cannot be considered.
International students whose degrees were obtained outside the United States must submit their transcripts through WES ICAP services, at the expense of the students. Please be sure to use the full WES ICAP service so that copies of the transcripts are sent to the MPH Program. Be sure to allow extra time for the processing by WES ICAP. WES ICAP can be found at: http://www.wes.org/students/faq.asp
Re-application Policy
Applicants to the Master of Public Health Program who were not accepted
by the program cannot appeal the decision of the Admissions Committee.
However, they can elect to reapply to the program no sooner than the
following academic year. The application fee is waived for re-applicants
who re-apply within five years of the previous application date.
Re-applicants are not required to submit transcripts or standardized
test scores if the transcripts or scores have not changed.
