A total of 14 course units (cu) are required for graduation. There are 9 CU of PUBH core courses and 5 elective options. Two of the 5 elective options must be taken under the PUBH prefix to fulfill the residency requirement for 11 PUBH cu. Full time students must enroll in 3.0 to 4.0 cu per semester and are expected to complete the MPH in 2 years. A 3-year part-time study option is also available where students may enroll in 2 cu per semester. Examples of full time and part time plans are outlined below. PUBH 503, PUBH 505, and PUBH 507 are presently only offered in the fall term and the majority of the PUBH electives are offered in the spring term. Enrollment in summer term is optional.
