Welcome to the RNA GROUP at the University of Pennsylvania
There is virtually no area of modern science that does not intersect in some way with RNA or the proteins that bind to it. Here at U Penn we are fortunate to have a tremendous diversity of RNA-related research going on in and around our campus. Such research includes the study of RNA-based gene regulation, neurodegenerative disease, oligonucleotide-based therapeutics, miRNAs, lncRNAs, nucleotide chemistry and catalysis, human genetics, computational biology and microbiology. The U Penn RNA Group provides a central forum for those interested in RNA-related topics to connect with one another. Our primary activity is a monthly research-in-progress series (The RNP Discussion Group, RDG) to which all are welcome. This website and email list is also a great way to find out about seminars of interest or make connections with other researchers at Penn. We welcome anyone who has interest in any area related to RNA and RNA-binding proteins. If you have further questions or want to be added to the email list see below or contact Dr. Kristen Lynch (firstname.lastname@example.org).
