Scoring the NUMi
The NUMi consists of 20 multiple choice items. The number correct is determined leading to a score of 0 to 20. Items are in the following domains: number sense, tables & graphs, probability, and statistics.
Recommended Scoring categories
Low health numeracy, 0-7
Low-average health numeracy, 8-12
High-average health numeracy, 13-17
High health numeracy, 18-20
