Spring 1998 (Instructor)

Experimental Psychology - Perception (PSYC 31141-001).
Undergraduate core course taught in the Department of Psychology, Kent State University, Kent, OH.
Responsible for lecturing, test construction, and grading. The content course is supplemented with a laboratory course. The course focuses on the mechanics of the sensory systems and the perceptual theory as it pertains to each system.

Individual Investigation (ARCH 46996-001).
Undergraduate senior thesis in the School of Architecture, Kent State University.
Responsible for supervising an Architecture Major / Psychology Minor with a two semester (Fall, 1997 & Spring, 1998) senior thesis project. This advising was done in conjunction with the remainder of the student's committee from the Department of Architecture. The project attempts to fuse current perceptual and kinesthetic research with architectural principles to be used in designs during the next century.

Individual Honors Work Program (HONR 30096-003).
Undergraduate course taught in conjunction with the Department of Psychology and the Honors College at Kent State University.
Responsible for supervising an undergraduate honors student direct independent research. The project focused on experimental design, data collection, statistical analysis, and scientific writing, specifically within the context of perceptual research.

Quantitative Methods I (PSYC 21621-001).
Undergraduate core course taught in the Department of Psychology, Kent State University, Kent, OH.
Responsible for lecturing, test construction, and grading. This course familiarizes students with research design and statistical analysis.

Undergraduate Liberal Education Requirement taught in the Department of Psychology, Kent State University.
Responsible for lecturing, test construction, grading, and arranging guest speakers. This course is designed to explore the processes involved in the adjustment of individuals to their personal and social environments and to foster personal growth by sharpening self-awareness and understanding.


Spring 1997 (Instructor)

Experimental Psychology - Perception (PSYC 31141-001).
• Undergraduate core course taught in the Department of Psychology, Kent State University.
• Responsible for lecturing, test construction, and grading. The content course is supplemented with a laboratory course. This specific section of the core course and lab was held in the evening. It was added to the regular Spring course offerings as a result of a proposal which I submitted detailing the need for this required course to be offered at an alternative time.

Psychology Writing (PSYC 41990-100).
Undergraduate core course taught in the Department of Psychology, Kent State University.
Responsible for familiarizing students with literature searches, scientific writing, and APA Style. Students received individual instruction. Students write a full length research proposal or scientific review as the end product of this course.


Fall 1996 (Instructor)
Experimental Psychology - Perception Lab (PSYC 31141-L).
Undergraduate laboratory taught in the Department of Psychology, Kent State University. Responsible for familiarizing students with laboratory techniques, experimental design and methods, perceptual research, and APA Style. Assignments focused on scientific writing. This two section lab is a supplement to the core Experimental Psychology - Perception content course.

1995 to 1998 (Undergraduate Research Supervisor)
Undergraduate Research (PSYC 31498).
Undergraduate research elective in the Department of Psychology, Kent State University.
Responsible for supervising undergraduate students conducting independent research. Research projects focused on perceptual research. Students were familiarized with experimental techniques, data entry, data analysis, and scientific writing techniques.
