Jacqueline A. French, M.D., received her medical degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island in 1982 and completed her internship and a residency in Neurology at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. She then completed a fellowship in EEG/Epilepsy at Mount Sinai Hospital and an additional fellowship in Epilepsy Surgery at Yale University/VMAC.
Dr. French is currently an Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She is Associate Director of the Penn Epilepsy Center as well as Co-Director of the EEG Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, positions she has held since 1995. Board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, and Clinical Neurophysiology, Dr. French is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. French has been appointed to various national organizations and societies, particularly the American Epilepsy Society, where she serves as a member of the CME Committee, the Ad Hoc Industrial Relations Committee, and th4e Steering Committee on Use of Antiepileptic Drugs. She is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, and EpiFellows Foundation and a board examiner for the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology.
Dr. French has researched and published extensively in the area of antiepileptic drug therapies, and other epilepsy issues. She is an ad hoc reviewer for the Annals of Neurology, Epiepsia, and Neurology, and is an editor for Epilepsy Update.
