NIH Challenge Grant Opportunity
NIH Challenge Grants in Health and Science Research (RC1). NIH has designated at least $200 million in FY2009 and FY2010 for this new program which is designed to support research on areas that address specific scientific and health research challenges in biomedical and behavioral research that would benefit from significant, jumpstart funds. Applications for 2-year awards (maximum of $1,000,000 total cost) are due April 27, 2009. The earliest anticipated start date is September 30, 2009. Challenge Grants must be submitted electronically via Penn ERA's Proposal Development (PD) application. Please contact your department business administrator if you plan to submit a Challenge Grant application.
