Dr. Amy Wenzel

   
 

Amy Wenzel, Ph.D. ( University of Iowa, 2000) is a Research Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves as the Principal Investigator of two projects in the center: (a) Predictors of Suicide in Attempters in Ideators: A Prospective Study (funded by a Standard Research Grant from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and (2) Suicide-Relevant Cognitive Biases and Cognitive Therapy (funded by a Young Investigator Award from the National Alliance for Research in Schizophrenia and Depression and a Standard Research Grant from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention). In addition, she is implementing clinical trials examining the effectiveness of cognitive therapy administered by addictions counselors for substance-dependent suicide ideators and attempters.
