The College of Liberal and Professional Studies provides innovative lifelong learning opportunities in programs of study for personal and professional growth.
The English Language Programs offer instruction in English as a second or international language, and exposure to the cultures of the United States. They also offer testing, consulting services, teacher training, and cross-cultural training.
Learning and Education is a department within the Division of Human Resources which provides various training and coaching opportunities to Staff on such development topics as management essentials, career development and time management, and such Quality of Worklife topics as "Researching Your Financial Goals."
The Biomedical Library and other libraries at Penn offer a variety of live and online workshops on various topics such as "Introduction to Resources in Evidence-Based Medicine" and on applications such as PowerPoint, Excel and Photoshop.
The Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Programs offers Educational programs on Penn's Affirmative Action and non-discrimination policies, as well as specific topics related to affirmative action, non-discrimination, equal opportunity, diversity, disability, sex discrimination and other forms of prohibited discrimination. Educational programs can be tailored to department-specific issues. The office can also provide technical assistance on affirmative action and non-discrimination issues.
The Office of Organization Effectiveness provides training and consulting services within the Perleman School of Medicine. These services include New Staff Orientation, team building, coaching and consulting on organizational and performance issues, designing and conducting productive meetings and retreats, development of competency models and interviewing tools for hiring, and training programs for professional, management and leadership development.
Wharton's Executive Education Programs offer open-enrollment and customized education on business topics for executives.
Wharton Programs for Working Professionals (WPWP) offers post-baccalaureate programs of study designed for career-minded working adults who do not have previous coursework in business.
