Rachel G. Gross, MD, Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Pennsylvania Hospital, and a co-Core Leader and co-Project Leader at the Penn Udall Center for Parkinson's Research, opened the seminar with “About the Morris K. Udall Parkinson’s Disease Research Center of Excellence at Penn.”
Lama Chahine, MD, formerly the Movement Disorders Fellow at the PD&MDC and now a Fellow in Sleep Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, spoke on “Sleep and Parkinson’s Disease.”
Claire Meunier, Director of Research Partnerships at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, participated in the seminar and addressed attendees on “Speeding Breakthroughs for People with Parkinson’s: How We Get to New Therapies and an Update on the PD Drug Development Pipeline.”
Finally, Andrew Siderowf, MD, formerly at the Penn Udall Center for Parkinson's Research and the PD&MDC and now at Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, spoke on his “Personal Reflections on PD Research.”
