Brooke A. Bailer, PhD

Brooke A. Bailer, Ph.D., is an Instructor in Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Co-Director of Education at the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders. She received her B.A. and M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Temple University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Bailer is a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Bailer's primary focus is on the treatment of obesity and related eating disorders. Dr. Bailer is also interested in bariatric surgery, particularly the psychosocial factors relevant to the bariatric surgery candidate.

Dr. Bailer's clinical interests include providing psychotherapy and behavioral weight control therapy. She also works on multiple research studies as an interventionist providing behavior therapy. Finally, Dr. Bailer conducts pre-surgical psychological assessments with bariatric surgery candidates.

As co-director of education, Dr. Bailer coordinates the supervision and training of doctoral students completing clinical practica at the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders.
