Ray Carvajal, Psy.D.

Ray Carvajal, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist at the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders. Dr. Carvajal received his B.S. in Education from Villanova University, his M.A. in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from La Salle University, and his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Carvajal’s research and clinical interests principally include the behavioral and surgical management of obesity. He serves as a clinical interventionist for a variety of research trials. He provides both individual and group treatment of obesity and weight-related comorbidities. In addition, he conducts psychological evaluations of patients seeking bariatric surgery through the University of Pennsylvania Health System.  

Dr. Carvajal also serves as a clinical psychologist at Penn’s Outpatient Psychiatry Center, where he provides psychotherapeutic services to persons seeking outpatient care.
