Ray Carvajal, Psy.D.

Ray Carvajal, Psy.D., is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders. Dr. Carvajal received his B.S. in Education from Villanova University, his M.A. in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from La Salle University, and his Psy.D. from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his predoctoral clinical internship at the Center for Brief Therapy at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Dr. Carvajal’s research and clinical interests principally include the behavioral management and surgical treatment of obesity. He serves as a clinical interventionist for a variety of research trials. He provides both individual and group treatment for the management of obesity and weight-related comorbidities. In addition, he conducts psychological/behavioral evaluations of patients seeking bariatric surgery through the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
