Lisa K. Diewald, MS, RD, LDN

Lisa Diewald is a Research Dietitian at the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders in the Department of Psychiatry within the Perelman School of Medicine. She holds a B.S. in Food and Nutrition Sciences from Drexel University and an M.S. in Health Education from St. Joseph's University.

Ms. Diewald's primary responsibilities at the CWED include collaborating with principal investigators on the development and coordination of interventions used in pediatric obesity prevention and treatment studies and providing dietary counseling for a variety of industry-sponsored studies. She is currently exploring the impact of family-based behavioral interventions on the development and progression of child overweight and chronic disease risk through the NIH-sponsored "Food Substitution in Child Nutrition/Obesity Prevention" and "Beverage Choice and Lifestyle Modification in Youth" research studies, and the American Diabetes Association sponsored study, "Lifestyle Modification for Type 2 Diabetes Prevention in Overweight Youth."
