Reneé H. Moore, Ph.D.
Reneé H. Moore, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a primary appointment in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology and due to her collaborative efforts with the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Psychiatry. She received her B.S. in Mathematics from Bennett College and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Emory University.
Dr. Moore's primary research interests are statistical methods for longitudinal data subject to a limit of detection, clinical trials, and psychiatric methodology, particularly related to weight and eating disorders data. Currently she serves as a co-investigator and biostatistician on numerous clinical trials investigating lifestyle modification, meal replacement, and/or pharmacotherapy as treatment for overweight and obesity in children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to collaboration on the design and implementation of clinical trials, Dr. Moore is a collaborator on numerous ongoing prospective studies and secondary analysis projects including those that examine the interplay of genetic and environmental influences of obesity in children, the treatment of the night eating syndrome, changes in quality of life following bariatric surgery, and psychological aspects of weight loss treatment in adolescents.
