Penn Behavioral Health

Overview

Our philosophy at the Penn Center for Women's Behavioral Wellness is that it is never too early or too late to make healthcare choices and lifestyle changes that promote women's behavioral health and wellness. Behavioral health is brain health. The brain is the part of the body that controls behavior; the way we think, feel and act. Although a healthy brain is crucial to a woman's sense of well-being, the brain does not exist in the body alone. What happens in other body systems, such as the cardiac, stress, immune, and reproductive systems, has an impact on the health of the brain. Thus, it is crucial that we take care of the whole body in order to have a sense of well-being from menarche to menopause.
