Description of Research Expertise

My research expertise has focused on the relationship of age on the genetic risk for coronary artery disease and stroke. I have also researched the impact of vascular disease on mild cognitive impairment in diverse populations. I continue to have an interest on the role of cardiovascular disease on progression of MCI and memory loss.

Description of Clinical Expertise

My clinical expertise includes the clinical care of older adults in the outpatient clinic and in the long term care facility. Clinically, I am interested in the diagnosis of MCI/dementia in the Veteran Population, and in education and support of the caregivers of patients with dementia.
