Description of Research Expertise

My research is directed at improving the acute management of complications of sickle cell disease with a particular emphasis on the management of vaso-occlusive pain crisis. My areas of expertise include genomic analysis of analgesic response to morphine, randomized controlled trials, large observational studies and conducting analyses of national databases.

Description of Other Expertise

I have expertise in establishing and evaluating the effects of standardized clinical pathways on the quality of care of patients with sickle cell disease.
