The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate, Full, and/or Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education.

The Division of Epidemiology in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics, together with the Abramson Cancer Center, seek highly qualified candidates with expertise in cancer epidemiology. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, molecular epidemiology; cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship; patient-centered outcomes research; social epidemiology; pharmacoepidemiology; and health and behavior communication.

The successful candidate will have experience conducting research as a principle investigator in adult or pediatric cancers, teaching, and publishing peer reviewed manuscripts. The primary faculty appointment will be in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics, or other School of Medicine departments, as appropriate. Candidates will also be active participants in the Abramson Cancer Center.

Responsibilities include participation in Penn’s Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics training programs, teaching and patient care activities in the faculty member’s clinical specialty (if relevant), and development of a research program.
