The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Histopcompatibility, Immunogenetics and Transplant Immunology to support the transplant programs and the other clinical programs supported by the Immunogenetics Laboratory of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Expertise in serological, cellular and molecular testing is required. Responsibilities include clinical test analysis and sign-out, quality control, innovation and test development, interactions with clinical colleagues and teaching of residents and medical and graduate students. Promotion in the Academic-Clinicians (A-C) track at The University of Pennsylvania is dependent upon a record of excellence in teaching and clinical activities. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Candidates must hold American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (or eligible).
