Penn Medicine Zoom Application Integrations
The Zoom marketplace offers a number of 3rd party plugins and integrations with other services. However, to ensure the security and integrity of Penn Medicine“s data, applications are reviewed and approved before they are available to be used
Application Request Process
Please submit all requests through the Zoom App Marketplace. To do so, log in to the Zoom website with your PennKey credentials and visit the App Market place.
Requests will be evaluated based in part on the level of access required to the Penn Medicine Zoom environment. Certain applications only require access to an individual“s Zoom account, while others require access to the entire Penn Medicine Zoom environment. In the event an app requires access to the entire Penn Medicine Zoom environment, the University of Pennsylvania will need to have an established agreement with that vendor and the vendor will need to undergo the full Penn Medicine Information Security risk assessment process.
Some of the reasons a request may be denied include, but are not limited, to the following:
- The software is still in beta testing.
- There are concerns about the reputation of the vendor.
- The app requires access to the full Penn Medicine Zoom environment, but the University of Pennsylvania does not have a relationship or a completed risk assessment on file.
- There is no business purpose for the integration.
The following applications have been approved for use:
- Box (for Penn+Box)
- G Suite
- Whova EMS
