If you are looking to sharpen your skills in order to promote solutions that improve health care delivery, consider the new Professional Development Certificate in Health Care Innovation from Penn’s Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy. Clinicians, managers, policy-makers, and other professionals may be particularly interested in learning how to navigate and even shape the shifting health care landscape—while continuing their current work.
The first cohort in the 2017 Professional Development Certificate has begun. A vibrant discussion about the American health care system is underway among professionals representing diverse positions and organizations. Once you successfully complete four Health Care Innovation professional development courses (see details below), you will earn a certificate of completion. Sign up now to reserve your seat in class—a staff member will send you course registration instructions after you sign up for the certificate.
The Professional Development Certificate is an online, pass/fail, program that you can complete in nine months. These courses are for professional development training purposes and do not confer academic course credits. You will learn from internationally recognized leaders in the areas of health policy, behavioral economics, operations management, and health care innovation. In your courses, you will apply principles and processes to challenges stemming from policy, decision-making, and operations issues.
