BIO STATEMENT

Aasith Villavicencio, MD, is a thrid-year Infectious Disease fellow at UPenn. Dr. Villavicencio attended Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) in Peru for undergrad and medical school including rotations at the Alexander von Humboldt Tropical Medicine Institute. She later became a postdoctoral research fellow at UPCH. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Miami. She was selected for the Global Health Pathway residency track and completed the Minnesota-based Global Health course, including ASTMH CTropMed® coursework. Dr. Villavicencio is interested in pursuing a career in global health with a focus on vaccine-preventable diseases, women’s health, and immigrant health care.

HPV knowledge, screening and vaccination practices, and barriers among reproductive-age women living in Miami.
Cross-sectional study using a survey conducted among women of reproductive age in Miami including immigrants to understand the current knowledge about HPV, screening, and vaccination practices among them.
