Dodge Laboratory

Welcome to Dodge Laboratory

The focus of the Dodge Laboratory is on cartilage tissue structure and function paradigms.  The Dodge Lab has focused on developing phenotypically accurate models of cartilage-like functional units as well as creating innovative technologies of tissue engineering.  The Dodge Laboratory has been a forerunner in the area of scaffold-free tissue engineering cartilage.  Complementing molecular and cell biology expertise, the Dodge Lab has extensive experience combining novel imaging methods into our research (FT-IRIS, MRI, and CT) which has direct implications when considering evaluation of engineered materials in vivo.  Our current goals are to classify molecules involved in chondrocyte’s early response to compressive injury and identify therapeutic targets in a high-throughput manner.
