McKay DEI Committee

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee of McKay is a group of faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and staff committed to generating a welcoming environment that supports people of all identities (e.g., race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, nationality, physical ability, age) to empower them to thrive and bring forward unique perspectives that strengthen the quality of education and produce innovative orthopaedic research.

The  McKay DEI committee is excited to announce our third Conference Grant program (and first in-person conference!) to support undergraduate students who have been unable to get hands-on research experience. The grant supports the cost of up to four undergraduate students to attend the 2022 Orthopaedic Research Society Conference in Tampa, Florida. Students will be provided the opportunity to network with leaders in the field of orthopaedic research, listen to cutting-edge research presentations, and learn about ways to get involved in orthopaedic research, themselves. Under-represented minorities and those with limited research experience are especially encouraged to apply!
