Applications for Orthopedic Surgeons

Our research offer analytical tools, devices, and software to quantify, analysis, or simply facilitate accessing medical information that are not easily available through the use of current clinical tools. Through collaboration with a team of orthopedic surgeons, we research medical advances to predict the development of the condition, explore treatment options, and finally predict the treatment outcomes. Our research implies engineering tools and concept for a deeper understanding of human musculoskeletal system.

 Our multidisciplinary research answers day-to-day clinical questions such as:

  • Is there any way to quantify clinical examination for a certain condition?
  • Is there any measurement that can be incorporated in the clinical assessment to improve the diagnosis?
  • What is the best treatment option for a patient? what outcomes should be expected?
  • What are the alternative imaging options to reduce the costs and radiation exposure?

We answer these questions in a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions such as adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, early onset scoliosis, hip dysplasia, lower limb deformities, fractures, and sport related injuries.
