PCGI/MFCIIR Joint Symposium

The Penn Center for Genome Integrity (PCGI) with the Mark Foundation Center for Immunotherapy, Immune Signaling, and Radiation (MFCIIR), held a joint full-day symposium "Intersections of Genome Integrity and Immunotherapy" on Monday, June 12, 2023 from approximately 9:30 am to 6:30 pm in the Smilow Auditorium & Commons.

The PCGI and the MFCIIR have come together to bring forth a symposium on the new developments at the intersections of genome integrity and immunology, with key insights into how these processes impact human disease etiology and therapy. This symposium highlights basic molecular mechanisms at the interface of these disciplines, establishing causal links between loss of genomic instability and inflammatory signals that orchestrate immune responses and human disease pathology.  Prominent international speakers will be featured alongside PCGI trainee talks, with a keynote presentation from HHMI and Harvard Medical School Investigator, Dr. Sun Hur.
