Courtney Benjamin Wolk, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and the Associate Director of the Penn Center for Mental Health in the Department of Psychiatry. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and an implementation scientist. The long-term goal of her research is to develop and evaluate strategies to promote the uptake of evidence-based care into routine practice, with the ultimate goal of improving the effectiveness of mental health services for children and adults in non-specialty mental health settings.

Chris Bonafide, MD, MSCE is a pediatric hospitalist and implementation scientist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania. He completed an Academic General Pediatric Fellowship at CHOP and the MSCE degree at Penn, and subsequently received training in implementation science and mentorship from Rinad Beidas, PhD. Chris now serves as Associate Chief for Research Integration and Implementation in the Division of General Pediatrics, Associate Director for Implementation Science at Clinical Futures, and Director of Pediatric Implementation Research at the Penn Implementation Science Center (PISCE). Within implementation science, he is especially interested in finding the best strategies to deimplement ineffective practices in pediatric hospital care. He currently co-leads a type 3 hybrid effectiveness-deimplementation trial focused on eliminating monitor overuse (EMO) with Dr. Beidas and is Site PI for a type 1 hybrid effectiveness-deimplementation trial focused on reducing unnecessary follow-up visits to primary care after hospitalization (the FAAN-C, or “fancy” trial).

Danielle Cullen is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Director of Health Services and Health Equity Research for the Division of Emergency Medicine at CHOP, and Associate Director of Implementation Science at CHOP Clinical Futures. The goal of her research portfolio is to improve health equity among socially disadvantaged children through the development of effective, acceptable, and feasible strategies to identify unmet social need and improve family engagement with desired resources. She is dedicated to community involvement in research and programmatic design, and leverages methods from Community-Based Participatory Research and Implementation Science to enhance reach and sustainability of developed programs. Her ongoing implementation research includes: a hybrid implementation-effectiveness study of the USDA’s summer food service program across CHOP clinical settings; a multi-center implementation trial of social support in the Emergency Department (ED); and a mixed-methods evaluation of individual and system level barriers to dental care after ED referral.
