How to Setup a Flickr Account

  • Go to Flickr
  • Click Sign Up
  • Fill out the form and click Continue
  • Verify your email by going to your inbox and clicking on the Confirm my Flickr account link sent by Flickr.

Custom URL

Go to Account Settings to set a custom URL.

Note: it can be set only once and cannot be changed later.

Add Photos

  • In the top menu bar, click icon for upload (cloud with arrow) to upload photos
  • Add all your photos
  • Click Upload Photos button on the top right

Create an Album

  • In the top menu bar, navigate to You and select Albums
  • Click Go to Camera Roll
  • Select the photos you would like to add to the album
  • Click Create new album
  • Enter the Album name and click Done to save the Album

Add Photos to an Album

  • In the top menu bar, navigate to You and select Albums
  • Select the album
  • Click Edit in Organizer
  • Select the photos to add to the album
  • Click Save

How to Get Flickr Account ID#

  • Go to idGettr
  • Enter the URL of your Flickr account and click Find
  • Locate your Flickr Account ID # below the search form
    • For example: 25461205@N04

How to Get Flickr Album ID #

  • Log into your Flickr Account and navigate to your album
  • In the browser, locate the album ID # in the URL
    • For example: https://www.flickr.com/photos/somiswebteam/albums/72157690048869372

Permissions Setting

Make sure all the photos in your album are set to be public. All private photos will not display in the gallery.

Note: The following steps are for accounts that have at least one album already created

  • In the top menu, navigate to You and select Albums
  • Select the album
  • Select the Edit in Organizr
  • Click the Batch edit dropdown and select Change Permissions
  • Ensure that Anyone (Public) is selected
  • Add additional settings as needed (restrict commenting and notes, tags, etc.)
  • Click Change Permissions
  • Click Thanks!
