Any announcement or information that you want to stand out will be displayed at the bottom of the homepage with a light blue background.
You can choose to have up to 3 optional side bars on the subpage. The sidebar has the option of a light green or light blue background. The sidebars stack on top of one another in the right column of the page. The more sidebars you have the longer the page becomes. Make sure that you have enough content in the main content area if you are going to have more than one sidebar.
In order to best display and enhance different types and lengths of content, we have created some special page features.
You will want to use the Accordion Feature when you have a large amount of information that needs to stay organized and readable. It also is a great way to categorize the content so that a user can quickly get to the information they are looking for. The Accordion feature organizes the large content into neat dropdown menus, known as accordions.
The Personnel Feature is primarily used to display the staff, faculty and students of your department. The layout displays the picture of the member, if you want one, on the left, and information about that member of the department on the right. You also can categorize the member's into different sections.
You have the option to show a Google Map on your contact page so that someone viewing your site will be able to instantly view a map of the department's location.
The Photo Gallery Template is the same as the Subpage Template except that it includes a photo gallery instead of the features listed under "Special Features", above.
On the "Photo Gallery" tab you can add into content and create a list of images to be displayed in a grid of thumbnails. When a user clicks a thumbnail, the gallery will open in an overlay slideshow.

To ensure that your images are the appropriate height and width, use the free cropping tool Pixlr.
Ensure the banner image is cropped to 1200px by 200px.
Find a large stock image ~ 3000px by 1000px, the bigger the better, that has a long panoramic section. For example, the city skyline is a great panoramic image that fits the banner size. Close up images of people are not great banner images for this design. Those images would be better fitting for the content area.
