David Solomon, M.D., Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Neurology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

David received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and the City University of New York. David did his internship in internal medicine and a neurology residency at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. After his residency, Dr. Solomon was an NIH sponsored Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins Hospital where he studied the three dimensional behavior of the vestibular ocular reflex (VOR). During this time he also received training in clinical neuro-otology. Dr. Solomon is currently an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and a co-director of the University of Pennsylvania Health System Balance Center. He specializes in medical neuro-otology and maintains a research interest in balance and ocular motor disorders involving inner-ear, brainstem and cerebellar mechanisms.
