Please be advised that today, Monday, March 30, 2015 at approximately 4:15 pm the passenger and freight elevators switched to emergency mode; i.e. one elevator in each bank remained operational, for a little over an hour. The reason is believed to be due to the operation of auxiliary equipment. HUP Physical Plant is investigating; additional testing will be performed overnight.

Please be advised that on Saturday, March 28, 2015 between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm the building domestic water systems will be shut down. This outage is necessary to repair part of the main water supply. This outage has been rescheduled from February due to lab considerations.

EHRS Directive:
No laboratory work with chemical, biological or radioactive materials; or animals is permitted during this shutdown. Water will be unavailable for restrooms, laboratory, and emergency irrigation.

This is to confirm that N-Tec will be testing the fire system on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 7pm-9pm. The alarms will sound intermittently during these hours. Occupants will not be required to leave the building for this test.

NOTICE:Biomedical Research Building - Interior Window Cleaning: BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH BUILDING

Advisory:
Please be advised that the "interior" window cleaning in the Biomedical Research Building will begin, Wednesday, 25 March 2015 between the hours of 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The vendor, Southampton, Inc., will start at the top of the building and work their way down. The cleaning process is anticipated to take 5 business days to complete, approximately 3 floors per day. Please make sure the windowsills and surrounding areas are accessible. The window cleaners will try to provide prior notification before entering interior areas. Perelman School of Medicine Security is aware of this arrangement.


If you are not available, please make sure someone will be available to provide access to your lab and or office. Please know that the Vendor, Southampton, Inc., works efficiently so disruptions should be monetary.

Please be advised that the women’s rest room, located on the first floor of the John Morgan Building, will be completely renovated as part of the first floor general construction project. This rest room will be out of service from Monday, February 16, 2015 with a scheduled duration of approximately 8 weeks, lasting until April 13, 2015. This project is necessary to improve the function and appearance of this rest room.
