The commencement ceremony and presentation of diplomas for the Perelman School of Medicine will be held virtually:
Sunday, May 17, 2020
Ceremony Details: Click here for Link
The ceremony will be pre-recorded and ‘premiere’ on YouTube at 9am EST on Sunday, May 17th. This means at 9am the recording will begin, and everyone watching will be viewing the same moment. It will be available afterward to replay for friends and family. We anticipate the program will last approximately one hour. During the ceremony, Dr. Morris will read your names as he would in person, and your photo, specialty, and residency program will appear on screen. You will receive the link for viewing as May 17th approaches, and you may share with as many friends and family members as you wish.
The Recitation of the Oath:
While you will be asked to recite the oath in your own home during the program, we invite you to call in to a PSOM student and faculty bluejeans meeting at 11am following the program for live remarks from Dean Jameson, Dean Rose, Dr. Morris, and Dr. Bennett. Dr. Bennett will lead the beginning and end of oath once more, and you will be able to fully participate in real time over your device.

After comments at 11am, you may remain on the meeting and connect with your fellow graduates, or we encourage you to set up your own celebratory video chats and phone calls.
You will receive your diploma in the mail. You will receive an email from the Registrar’s Office asking that you update your address in Penn In Touch before May 8th, 2020. Email Charita Brown in the PSOM Registrar’s Office with questions: email@example.com.
