Radiation Physics Division Career Opportunities
From time-to-time opportunities exist for individuals to join the Radiation Physics Division in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. The Radiation Physics Division provides radiation oncology physics services at the main campus site at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and at six other satellite offices in and around the metropolitan area.
These opportunities may include faculty positions at the Ph.D. level, staff physicists positions at the M.S. level and instructor or post-doctoral positions for Ph.D. physicist and medical physicist still in training.
We are seeking a board-certified dosimetrist to provide clinical services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). The University of Pennsylvania provides radiation oncology services at HUP and five satellites. This position is primarily located at HUP. HUP is equipped with four Varian linear accelerators, two simulators, and a CT scanner linked to Varis record & verify system. Active programs are TBI, TSEI, SRS/SRT, PDT, HDR, and brachytherapy program including prostate seed implant. Our treatment planning systems consists of nine Helax-TMS networked workstations, Radionics XKnife, MMS, and Theraplan. The Dosimetry section consists of five dosimetrists at HUP and three others for the satellites. Applicants should have several years of experience in external beam planning. Experience in SRS/SRT, brachytherapy, and computers is desired. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
