Description of Research Expertise

Early identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - efficacy of multiple source methods of evaluation, stability of diagnosis. Epidemiology of ASD (risk factors and causes of ASD). Emerging clinical profile of ASD symptoms (and other DD) in young siblings of children with ASD. Use of novel (complementary and alternative medical) treatments for symptoms of ASD. Prevalence and impact of comorbid conditions such as obesity on children with ASD.

Description of Itmat Expertise

Dr. Levy was engaged in a multi-center case control study of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay and typical development which examines risk factors for autism and etiologic factors.
