2/28/2011
Release 20110225:
- Schools running OASIS with evaluations must run
scripts/Evals/helper-initialize-options - New Perl Modules Required: Archive::Extract
- New User Request - Allows faculty to request an account.
- If students can not view the final course grade on the schedule
do not allow them to view it in the GradeBook.
- If there is a grade hold prevent the student from viewing their
unofficial transcript. Also an option to display something if
the grade has not yet been submitted (Ticket 3447)
- Configure -> Tracks: Student list provides an email students
option.
- Bug Fix: For grid custom colors.
- Emailed reports have a different MIME type to prevent mail
servers from adding new lines to the reports due to RFC 2822

- Customize email subscriptions per role and when assigning
administrators to courses. This is done in Configure -> Roles
and Access and Users -> Modify Admin Access.
- When notifying people of all add/drop of a specific student
level the waiting list notification was not working
properly. (Ticket 3465)
- When editting a lottery stage it will now only display courses
that the student level participlating in the lottery can take.
(Ticket 3550)
- Students -> Withdraw a student has option to remove
grid. (Ticket 3451)
- Students -> Download Student Schedules allows selecting a date
range. (Ticket 3547)
- Add scheduling hold information under the student's name on
their schedule and personal information pages.
- Students -> Download Student Schedules if including course type
the column was labeled twice.
- Manage -> Multi-log Search: Select a student and pick which logs
to search. This can be used to quickly search for the latest
activity about a student.
- Manage -> Search log-ins has an updated interface which allows
sorting and exportings results.
- Advisors: When sending lottery approval requests confirm the
advisor has access to approve the selections list (Ticket 3724)
- Advisors: When emailing many users it would not work
properly. (Ticket 3492) - Advisors: Add option to add Pathway and Approve Lottery
Selections to the available actions to advisors. (Ticket 3527)
- Advisors: Corrected bugs in what reports the advisor should have
access to in individual student reports.
- Requirement checklist: Reports default to selecting the current
courses (Ticket 3478)
- Requirement checklist: Item distribution report now includes
information about what the averarge number of entries per
student is and what the current minimum is set to. This can be
used to determine if the minimum entries may need to be updated.
- Requirement checklist: Correct bug that would cause an error to
the user.
- Evaluations: Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Student Performance
completion report has been updated to a newer format for better
sorting, exporting and emailing people on the report.
- Evaluations: Student Performance Evaluations: New options to
allow the student to view the GradeBook and a Self-assessment
only (Ticket 3457)
- Evaluations: Text boxes for typing answers now have an option
for a rich text editor. (Ticket 3513)
- Evaluations: Major speed improvment in Manage Evaluators for
courses that have many evaluation periods. Also correct bug
which could cause the new association to show up multiple
times. Also correct loading bug (Ticket 3583, 3516)
- Evaluations: New faculty evaluation option to limit students to
be able to remove only those faculty evaluations they add.

- Evaluations: Manage Evaluations -> Email Settings: Allow
customizign the subject for email reminders. (Ticket 3005)
- Evaluations: Manage -> Reports -> Evaluation - Students without
a manage evaluator assignment now looks for any course that has
started. Previously it was only if the course had
ended. (Ticket 3581)
- Evaluations: Setup Data Analysis Report now allows combining
course date range, evaluation period date range, and multiple
years.
- Evaluations: Department Faculty Report now allows selecting the
evaluations to include (Ticket 3545)
- Evaluations: Department Faculty Report was using student
performance evaluations to search for faculty instead of faculty
evaluations. (Ticket 3545)
- Evaluations: When creating a new release the violation and
follow up flags were not copied to the new release (Ticket 3520)
- Evaluations: Add external ID and username to the survey download.
- Evaluations: Manage Evaluators has a new option to load faculty
from the list of faculty the student can pick from in the
faculty evaluation options. (Ticket 3457)
- Events: Allow exporting general calendars which can be set to
include only specific course modules. This can be used to
export a "Med 1 calendar" for example. It won't include all the
multiple rooms for some events but can be used to see when
generally students are busy/available.
- Events: Add student group column to the event search results.
(Ticket 3607)
- Events: Search events will only count students if including
students.
- CurrMIT: Added database tables and additional clean up work.

Release 20100301:
- Prefix, suffix, color code and designation have been added to a person's name. The color currently only displays on the course roster. Only those fields that are filled in will be included when displaying the name. Import file formats have been updated to include these new fields.
- The middle initial has been changed to a middle name (up to 64 characters).
- Academic History: Edit rights can be set per item.
- Academic History: A new item attribute "Files upload" has been added. Users with edit access can upload multiple files to this item. Users that can view the item have access to view/download the files.
- Academic History: View/Edit rights can be given to students. If students have access to the academic history they will see a link in their annoucements.
- System maintenance message can be displayed next to the login. This can be used instead of the Message of the Day to announce scheduled maintenance.
- Manage -> Reports -> Personal Information now includes Last Login
- For schools using external authenication systems the session timeout would not remove the message from the primary browser window.
- Bug Fix: Data Analysis Report would not filter short answers if expanding out people or locations.
- For TSV and CSV reports remove the Mac style new line characters (Ticket 2194)
- Bug Fix: Add and Edit User remove leading and trailing spaces from name fields, username and external id
- When importing schedule information and creating new timetable records make sure to activate the location if it is new (Ticket 2119)

Release 20100118:
- Students have a "select all" checkbox at the top of the timetable when adding lottery selections.
- GradeBook now includes the Final Course Grade for the student if they can view the grade on their schedule. (Ticket 1973)
- Students -> Enter Student Grades -> View Student GradeBook This gives a view only version of the entire student GradeBook. It includes student level based GradeBook entries plus all courses. (Ticket 1973)
- Course -> Roster -> Modify will update the timetable record if updating all the students to a new time.
- If years within OASIS overlap count students from both years when calculating open positions and displaying the course roster (Ticket 1841)
- Advisor: Check the user's role and flag as an advisor if their role is advisor even if they haven't been assigned any students yet.
- Events: Add reselect year to the administrator calendar. (Ticket 1873)
- Users -> Advising -> Department/Advisor Report now has an email feature (Ticket 1870)
- Evaluations: Multiple choice questions can now have multiple selects (checkboxes). For example this can be used for "select all that apply" type questions.
- Bug Fix: Correct a problem with IE when running OASIS via SSL some reports wouldn't print for example PDFs. The problem was that IE by default doesn't cache the SSL docuement so the helper application wouldn't be able to read the file, for example PDFs couldn't be read. (Ticket 1840)
- Users -> Advising -> Department/Advisor Report was not including advisors assigned to a department but no students. (Ticket 1870)
- Users -> Advising -> Assign to department has a new Roles and access option "can assign to any department" This can be used to allow the advisor administrator to assign faculty to any department. (Ticket 1851)
- GradeBook: Saving a grade of 0 now works. Also can remove entries via import. (Ticket 1799)

Release 20091120:
- Requirement Checklists: Preview - when editing a checklist you can now preview what it will look like.
- Requirement Checklists: Order items within a checklist. Previously the items were always alphabetical (Ticket 1504)
- Requirement Checklists: Delete copy of entry. Previously is an entry was copied to another list you could not delete the copied entry. The copy now has a delete when viewing the history (Ticket 1693)
- Requirement Checklists: Option to hide comments entry for Add Entry
- Requirement Checklists: Option to hide 'Also add to' drop down lists. (Ticket 1653)
- Requirement Checklists: Option to hide 'In course (optional)' for student level based checklists.
- Requirement Checklists: Option to allow students to be able to delete entries.
- Evaluations: When a summary evaluation has all the individual evaluations completed or inactivated the summary evaluation will be released with an open date of "today". (Ticket 1753)
- Evaluations: Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Department faculty report includes the department name at the top of the report.
- Users -> Add User now defaults the role to none selected.
- Course -> Course Set-up -> General notes about the course. This can be used by admins to keep some notes about the course to remind themselves later. (Ticket 1332)
- Course Requirements now count a course as fulfilled if a grade is posted before the end date has been reached. Previously the end date of the course must pass before it could be considered fulfilled. (Ticket 1701)
- Evaluations: Configure -> Roles and Access has a new option to prevent viewing individual forms from Course -> Manage Evaluations -> Search and Edit Evaluations. By default course administrators are allowed to view student performance forms. (Ticket 1760)
- Evaluations: Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Dean's Letter can now include custom personal information in the report
- Configure -> Course Start Dates now allows forcing the year end date. Normally this is determined automatically based on the timetables of courses in the year. In some cases it might be beneficial to force the year end date, for example to tell OASIS when it is acceptable to release all the year's evaluations.
- Configure -> Global Settings -> Allow students to change their track now has a new option 'View Only' which shows what track they have but doesn't allow them to update the track.
- Manage -> Reports has removed the "Date:" as the first row. This causes problems when you load the data in to Excel. The YYYYMMDD-HHMI is now included in the file name.
- Evaluations: Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Student Performance completion statistics report now has the ability to load faculty by course. For non-directors it will only show courses the admin has access to via Users -> Modify Admin Access. (Ticket 1631)
- Evaluations: If you update the open/close dates of a form OASIS will recheck any summary evaluations that form may be in to see if the summary should be released or postponed.
- Course -> Roster -> Add Student: if the student has a scheduling hold it is now displayed if you select that student. (Ticket 1683)
- Students -> Withdraw a student: This page can be used to remove a student from courses, change the student level, disable the account, and remove the email address to prevent emails. (Ticket 1639)
- Users -> Edit User can now search on External ID (Ticket 1671)
- Manage -> PeopleSoft -> Grade Roster Export - updated to support exporting each course as its own file.
- Manage -> PeopleSoft -> Grade Roster Export - correct bug if an invalid percentage is entered. (Ticket 1758)
- Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Student Performance completion indicated that the total only includes available forms. It does not include forms that have not opened yet. (Ticket 1631)
- Manage -> Evaluation Reports correct a problem with some reports not finding department faculty if there were no Faculty evaluations assigned. (Ticket 1631)
- Course Completion Report now excludes zero credit courses if your school uses credits. Administrators have the option to include the zero credit courses. (Ticket 1618)
- The "days are free between these courses." does not display preceeding a course that can be taken with any course (Ticket 1608)
- Manage -> Data Import -> Import student schedule information allows column C to be either external id or username.

Release 20091008:
- Schools running OASIS with evaluations must run scripts/Evals/helper-initializeoptions
- Evaluations: Data Analysis Report includes a new link to 'Copy to excel'. This creates a new window with the tabular data in an easy format to copy to an Excel spreadsheet.
- Evaluations: Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Student Performance \ completion statistics report now includes: number of open evaluations, open evaluations have been removed from the submitted percentage, average days for submit and a new option to count the number of evaluations currently open longer than XX days.
- Evaluations: A new faculty evaluation option "Require an email address for the new account." If you allow students to create a new OASIS account if they can not find the faculty member in OASIS you can now require they enter an email address. The format of the email address will also be checked to make sure it is valid. (Ticket 1468)
- Evaluations: Students may be allowed to remove a faculty evaluation that they added via "Add a person to evaluate" If a corresponding Student Performance evaluation had been created it will also be removed. (Ticket 1111)
- Evaluations: Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Set-up faculty completion statistics report now allows selecting faculty by department.
- Evaluations: Correct bug in creating a new version or copying an in course evaluation with questions added by the course. (Ticket 1402)
- Evaluations: Correct bug in displaying student peer aggregate results if there were multiple student peer evaluations.
- Evaluations: When viewing an evaluation the typed answers are now bordered by green. The background has been removed since it could create problems when using copy/paste. (Ticket 1533)
- Evaluations: Changed the layout of the evaluation information at the top of the page. For course and faculty evaluations the student name is no longer displayed on the form since that information is normally always redacted. The evaluation period and names has been moved to the bottom of the information block to put it closer to the questions. (Ticket 1535)
- Evaluations: Course Requirements Report should prevent showing the grade if the student has evaluations to complete in the course. A bug was preventing this from happening properly.
- Evaluations: Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Course Evaluation Report allows picking start/end dates to include in the report (Ticket 1546)
- Evaluations: When distributing a base evaluation do not copy the introduction text. This would create a problem if you then updated the base evaluation introduction text since it would not get copied in to the in-course evaluations. (Ticket 1580)
- Evaluations: Student Performance evaluations may now have questions that only appear on the summary evaluation, only on the individual evaluation or both the individual and summary evaluation.
- Events: Correct bug in sub-rooms which allowed creating a sub-room without indicating what room it was going to be in. (Ticket 1515)
- Correct bug in the Course -> Student Report PDF if the table of contents page is longer than 1 page. (Ticket 1507)
- When changing a grade if reason codes are defined it is now required to select one. (Ticket 1480)
- Requirement Checklists: Student Progress Report has a new option to e-mail all entries for selected students. This will email the details of each entry for the selected students. (Ticket 1482)
- Manage -> Reports -> Administrator Access now includes the last time the administrator has logged in. This can be used to audit your admin accounts and disable unused accounts.
- New Report: Manage -> Reports -> Number of scheduled courses. This report simply gives a count of the number of scheduled courses per student. (Ticket 1497)
- GradeBook: Fixed bug when removing a grade is the grade value is zero (Ticket 1484)
- Updated Create New Year to remove students that have graduated from the list of students linked to advisors. (Ticket 1473)
- Manage -> Reports -> Grades Log of grade changes now supports entering a start and end date to search for the grades. A new column also indicates if the grade is new or a changed grade.
- Manage -> Reports now has a button to have the report sent as a SV file. Under some circumstances Excel does a better job of processing the CSV file than the TSV file. (Ticket 1455)
- Student schedule now displays how many days are between the courses if there are more than 6 days. This can help students find where they can still add a course on their schedule.
- Evaluations: A new option to require a grade to only be set on the sign-off and remove it from the individual evaluator.
- When updating Users -> Modify Admin Access the user cache is removed.
- Manage -> PeopleSoft -> Grade Roster Export now includes a detailed report to help find problems when importing to PeopleSoft. Also a new multiple files version.

Release 20090819:
- Manage -> Data Import -> Import course enrollment information verifies end date is after start date. Also the course can not be longer than two years (Ticket 1340)
- Unofficial transcript can now have a custom footer set in Configure -> Global settings (Ticket 1283)
- Roles and access support for all the steps in Course -> Course Set-up. You may now pick which pages the admin should have access to in Course Set-up. (Ticket 1270)
- If sending email via web form and you are logged in as a student the email would previously go out as the student email account. Now if logged in as a student the email will always go out as your normal account. This will create problems if you log in as a student to send out a swap request, but this is very very rare (Ticket 1289)
- Event-based courses: Add short name to event search. (Ticket 1290)
- Evaluations: correct bug with some values getting escaped for JavaScript twice (Ticket 1340)
Release 20090730:
- GradeBook now supports viewing and setting Final Course Grade.
- Bug fix: When requirement checklists should be completed after X number of items have been completed. (Ticket 1247)
- Evaluations allow setting the flag for multiple choice questions when a typed followup is required.
- Manage -> Evaluation Reports -> Set-up Course Evaluation Report now allows picking a base evaluation to load all the questions from that base eval. (Ticket 1218)
- Evaluations: fix bug in releasing evaluations when using summary evaluations to release student performance evaluations from other courses.
