Description of Research Expertise

Major Research Interests:
Pathology and epidemiology of infectious diseases of poultry including vaccinal infectious laryngotracheitis, infectious bronchitis, Salmonella enteritidis and avian influenza.

Description of Clinical Expertise

Major Clinical Services: The Laboratory of Avian Medicine and Pathology is part of the Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory System. The Poultry Laboratory provides veterinary diagnostic poultry medicine and pathology service to the Commonwealth of Pennsylavnia. Services include postmortem examination, virology, RRT-PCR, serology and field investigation. The laboratory will provide microbiology and toxicology testing on cases when necessary through other laboratories at New Bolton Center.
