Description of Research Expertise

Elucidating the roles of ketones on metabolism and health of dairy cows during the periparturient period.

Developing nutritional strategies to optimize health and lifespan of modern dairy cows with emphasis on the metabolic-immune axis.

Identification of nutritional and metabolic interplays influencing bovine milk composition at the milk fat globular membrane for the maximization of its nutraceutical potential.
