Description of Clinical Expertise

c4 Dr. Ackrivo's clinical expertise includes chronic non-invasive ventilation, home mechanical ventilation, chronic respiratory failure, and respiratory care of neuromuscular disease.
71

Description of Research Expertise

219 Dr. Ackrivo's research focuses on improving the respiratory care of individuals with chronic respiratory failure. Dr. Ackrivo's research has covered topics such as risk factors for and phenotypes of respiratory failure in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, quantifying survival benefit from non-invasive ventilation, developing novel approaches of telemonitoring for home ventilation, assessing clinical outcomes in chronic hypercapnia, and clinical trials of early respiratory interventions in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
