The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Classical and Molecular Cytogenetics with a focus on Personalized Diagnostics with aptitude in next generation sequencing based testing including assay development, variant interpretation, reporting and validation in NGS-based assays. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Certification by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics is a requirement for this position.

Broad experience with supervision encompassing a variety of testing platforms assessing constitutional, infectious, oncology and pediatric diseases would be desirable.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Division of Precision and Computational Diagnostics in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the position requires extensive commitment to quality in clinical service and education in a CAP/CLIA environment.
