Available from the my.med gateway, the SOM File System is a web-based application which allows the Office of Evaluation and Assessment (OEA) to release or publish the faculty/student performance/course reports that have been requested by coordinators.

This application will store all of the reports run in a given academic year so that they are always available in one centralized location. Here, a coordinator could find their monthly, quarterly, and Annual Duty Hours reports (DH), their Learning Climate Survey (LCS) and Faculty of Program (FOP) Reports, as well as any other additional reports they may request ad hoc from the OEA.

Each department will have its own space on the File System for their reports that is only able to be accessed by their specific coordinators.

The naming conventions of the majority of files appears as such:

Type of Report_Academic Year_GME-Department

For example, LCS_08_09_GME-Anesthesia FellowshipsCardiothoracic

The naming conventions of the monthly duty hours files appears as such:

Type of Report_Academic Year_GME-Department_Month_violation or noviolation

For example, DH_10_11_GME-Anesthesia Fellowships_11_noviolation

The naming conventions of the quarterly duty hours files appears as such:

Type of Report_Academic Year_GME-Department_QuarterXReport

For example, DH_10_11_GME-Anesthesia Fellowships_Quarter1Report

When new reports are released within a department, coordinators will receive an email notification.
