Clinical Research C.A.R.E. Award

The Clinical Research Coordinator Annual Recognition of Excellence awar launched in 2009 is a Perelman School of Medicine award that was created by the Penn Society of Clinical Research Coordination and Management (SCRCM), in collaboration with and under the administration of the Office of Human Research, to promote and advance the profession of clinical research coordination and management. This award is presented annually to a clinical research coordinator, clinical research nurse, or clinical research manager who best exemplifies excellence in the knowledge, skills and values of the profession.

Nominations can be made by any faculty or staff of the University of Pennsylvania community including Principal Investigators, Sub-Investigators, coordinators, research teams, and Department and Division administration and staff. The Clinical Research C.A.R.E. Award Committee reviews all submitted nominations and associated letters of support to make the final determination of award recipients. The Award Selection Committee is comprised of faculty, research coordinators, and representatives from Penn Medicine and University research administrative offices.

All nominations must be received by 11:59pm on March 22, 2013 to be considered for this award. The 2013 recipient will be announced at the Annual Recognition Event for the Society of Clinical Research Coordination and Management on June 2013.

Eligibility Requirements:

In order for the nominees to be evaluated by the appointed selection committee, they must meet all of the following criteria:
    
1.
Nominees must work full time and have direct subject/patient interaction.
    
2.
Nominees must be in their current role for a minimum of 2 years.
    
3.
Nominees must not be a previous recipient of the CR C.A.R.E. Award.
4.
Nominees must have a current Penn CRC certification.
5.
Nominees must have a completed online nomination form.
6.
Nominees must receive two letters of support for their nomination.
