Welcome to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Financial Aid website. Our goal is to educate, assist and counsel our students in finding the necessary financial resources to fund their education and provide debt management information while at the School of Medicine. In the 2007-2008 academic year we awarded over 28 million in various types of aid including merit and need-based grants, fellowships, school and private loans. This past year approximately 90% of the student body received some form of financial assistance (scholarships, fellowships and loans).
Making the decision which medical school to attend is not easy and we strongly encourage you to discuss your financial options with your family and those who may support you financially while in medical school. It is important to select a program that is the best fit for you, but you should be forward thinking regarding your financial aid for the next four years.
The School of Medicine Financial Aid Office is pleased to assist students with questions about financing your education. Please stop in to the Office at your convenience to discuss issues of importance to you.
