Publications

After the Symposium, we will also organize two Special Sections on Metabolic Imaging/Spectroscopy and Commemorating 110^th Birthday of Britton Chance in the Journal of Biomedical Optics and Academic Radiology.  The publication dates for articles in these Special Sections are expected to be in early 2025. 

Manuscripts can be submitted online to Academic Radiology (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/academic-radiology) and Journal of Biomedical Optics (JBO) (spie.org/JBOcalls) during the three months after the symposium (due date Oct. 31, 2024) and will receive peer review on a rolling basis. Category "Metabolic Imaging and Spectroscopy" should be selected during the submission to Academic Radiology, which is important for tracking the manuscript to the Special Section. JBO is a Gold Open Access journal and Academic Radiology can publish papers with either Gold Open Access or traditional subscription mode. With the choice of Gold Open Access, manuscripts may be published online once accepted.
