Basic Connectomic Analysis

Using advanced registration and probabilistic tractography tools, a connectivity map of the brain is estimated as the number of pairwise connections between nodes of an anatomical atlas of grey matter and subcortical regions. A greater number of connections estimated in the probabilistic tracking paradigm indicates a stronger connection between regions of the brain. The connectivity map is represented as an undirected graph, from which topological features are computed. These features are used to characterize group differences or the development of the connectivity profile of the brain during development within a statistical framework.
