The Ghassemi Lab
The Ghassemi Lab is in the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies at the University of Pennsylvania. We have a collective goal to engineer cell-based and cell-targeting therapeutics for a wide array of indications from cancer to autoimmunity. Our lab has succeeded in shortening CAR T production processes and is now exploring ways to harness the fullest potential of non-activated T cells to build more persistent, more efficacious, and more precise cell therapeutics. Because of the novelty of our cell therapy products, we welcome collaborations to expand our toolkits to innovate much needed clinical solutions.
If you are interested in joining our lab, our lab has open positions for PhD students from Penn BGS and Bioengineering programs, and Penn undergraduate students to join our highly productive and collaborative lab! For post-doctoral fellow opportunities, please inquire directly to Dr. Ghassemi (email can be found on the bottom).
