Overview
The third annual Gynecologic Oncology Advanced Surgical Course 2026 is designed to provide information through cadaver dissection and individualized preceptorship to master advanced radical pelvic and high yield gynecologic oncology procedures including (but not limited to) radical hysterectomy, pelvic exenteration, inguinal dissection, pelvic, paraaortic and higher order lymph node dissection, vascular injuries, and upper abdominal procedures.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for gynecologic oncology fellows in-training and practicing gynecologic oncologists.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Develop deeper understanding of the upper abdominal, pelvic, and inguinal surgical anatomy
- Describe the critical steps in performing advanced radical pelvic and high yield gynecologic oncology procedures
- Describe tips, pitfalls, and strategies to approach complex gynecologic cases
Post Course Benefits
- One to one mentorship for 6 months
- Four to six one-on-one check-n meetings, each lasting 30 minutes
- Review mentees own surgical videos and provide feedback
- Review and review surgical planning and strategies for upcoming cases
- Guidance on managing surgical complications, including strategies to process the emotional impact and move forward.
