Overview
This hands-on course is designed to provide information through cadaver dissection and individualized preceptorship to master advanced radical pelvic and high yield gynecologic oncology procedures including (but not limited to) radical hysterectomy, pelvic exenteration, inguinal dissection, pelvic, paraaortic and higher order lymph node dissection, vascular injuries, and upper abdominal procedures.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for gynecologic oncology fellows in-training and practicing gynecologic oncologists.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Develop deeper understanding of the upper abdominal, pelvic, and inguinal surgical anatomy
- Describe the critical steps in performing advanced radical pelvic and high yield gynecologic oncology procedures
- Describe trips, pitfalls, and strategies to approach complex gynecologic cases
