The Division of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at Penn provides innovative care in several areas:

Established in 1968, our team is staffed by board-certified physicians who specialize in the use of hyperbaric oxygen for tissue healing, treating diving injuries, and providing comprehensive wound care. Penn has one of the few multiplace chambers in the country, in which multiple patients can be treated at the same time. The division also has two monoplace chambers, in which patients receive treatment individually. Our team provides daily treatments for patients with conditions such as radiation injuries or diabetic wounds. Additionally, the team is on call 24/7 for emergencies such as carbon monoxide poisoning.
